With India’s Aadhaar Card system, it is now easier than ever to check the status of your Aadhaar Card online. In this guide, we’ll show you how to quickly and easily check the status of your Aadhar Card from the comfort of your own home.
Go to the UIDAI official website.
Once you have logged in, select the “Check Aadhaar Status” section. You will then be prompted to enter your 12-digit UID number, your full name and the registered mobile number with UIDAI. Now click on the “Check Status” button and your Aadhar Card status will be displayed on the screen.
Enter your Aadhaar number, enter the security code and click on ‘Get Status’.
After entering your Aadhar number, enter the security code in the field below. Once you have done this, click on the button ‘Get Status’. You will now get the status of your Aadhar Card application immediately. If your application is successful, you will get a confirmation message with a link to download and print your e-Aadhaar card.
Complete the verification process using any of your registered mobile numbers with Aadhaar or via OTP
After getting your Aadhar Card status, you may be required to complete the verification process. This can be done either via any of your registered mobile numbers with Aadhaar, or through an one-time password (OTP) sent to you by messaging service. After entering the generated OTP into the designated field and submitting, your e-Aadhaar card will be ready to download and print.
You will get a status of ‘Your e-Aadhaar is Generated’ if it has been generated and ready for download or else you will get an error message that states ‘Sorry! No record found against this Number’.
If the status shows a generated e-Aadhaar, you may proceed to download or print it. You may click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ button and enter your personal details like Pa n, Full Name and Pin Code for authenticating your identity. After entering the details correctly, press the submit button and you can successfully download or print out your Aadhar card.
If your Aadhar Card Status has been generated, click on ‘Download e-Aadhaar’ button to save it on your device
Once your Aadhar Card status has been generated, you can safely save a copy of it on your device. To do this, just click on the ‘Download e-Aadhaar’ button to open the download page. Here, you will be asked to enter in your personal details such as Aadhaar Number, Full Name and Pin Code for authentication purposes. When you have successfully entered all these details, press the ‘Submit’ button to save an e-version of your Aadhar card onto your device or computer.
